As a Senior Golang Engineer you will work within a team of talented Golang engineers who are busy building a scalable platform that will be used by millions of customers around the world. You will primarily be delivering high quality software using Go, generating creative solutions to improve the platform, and designing and implementing new features. The focus will be on building optimised, low latency and scalable software.  

• You will collaborate with stakeholders, architects, product owners and other engineers to deliver high quality code and feed into the engineering teams processes (TDD for example).
   
• Golang engineers in this business will spend a lot of time solving problems so it is important you are a natural problem solver.
   
• You will design, develop, test and deploy your own code in this job. As you have built the software, you will also support it. This tends to drive diligence and the production of robust code.
   

Tech stack: Golang, the Cloud (AWS, GCP, etc.), Apache Kakfa, etc.   

Salary: €100k

• What is the challenge As Backend Engineer you will work on expanding the functionality and scalability of our Golang-based backend services. 
• Write well-tested, rock-solid code that performs well 
• Keep an eye on the performance of the system as a whole
• Design and document robust API endpoints for our frontend apps and external partners
• Be creative in general in your solutions, and especially on our monthly hack days •
• Review your peers' code and be open to receiving feedback 
• Have the ambition to work as an expert developer and/or lead a team of developers 

Our development team is world-class and welcomes developers of various experience levels:

• Experience with Golang, or the motivation to learn it
• Experience with the end-to-end software development process
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Experience with document databases like CouchDB is nice-to-have 
• Experience working in self-managed agile teams
